Father & Brother
Father – Leroy Bowman (seated), Tuskegee Airman known for toughness, bravery, and impressive performance attributed to the Airmen earning more than 150 Distinguished Flying Crosses. In more than 200 missions they didn’t lose a single bomber. In dedication, Leroy Bowman has a boulevard named after him at South Carolina’s Shaw Air Force Base.
Brother – CPT James Bowman (U.S. Army), commanded units in Korea, Okinawa and Germany.
Grandfather
Brooks Bowman, fought overseas during World War I – Exposed to mustard gas, a devastating and debilitating chemical nerve agent. Received the French Croix de Guerre award for his bravery and service.
Wife
Major Yolanda Bowman, Retired Medical Service Officer, teaches JROTC at Woodlawn High School in Birmingham, Alabama. She led the JROTC drill team to a national championship in 2005/06.

Stepson – CPT Julian Harden, MEDEVAC pilot, Ohio National Guard
Stepdaughter – Sp4 Tiffany Harden, USAR
